Run the "Prep For Post Construction" tool
• A snapshot of the job's state will be created to store that progress point; make sure to name it
• You may notice...
○ ...the map styles are different
○ ...fielding attributes have been reset for collection
○ ...photos have "PRE-CONSTRUCTION" water marks
Collect data in the field
• Take a height photo
• (Take any reference photos for confirming MR calls such as proposed guying)
• A height stick is only needed if the pole was replaced
• If you are collecting midspans, you need the height stick for midspan photos
Continue like normal with photo upload, classification, and association
After photo association, run the "PCI Routine" tool to calibrate photos
• This will let you transfer known heights to use for calibration...
• ...but for pole replacements and midspan height photos, you'll calibrate as normal
• For pole height photos without a height stick, pick four fixed points - known heights that HAVE
NOT CHANGED. Do not use the height of proposed cables.
For example:
○ the top of the pole (IF THE POLE WAS NOT REPLACED)
○ height of attachments (IF THEY WERE NOT CALLED TO MOVE)
○ height of equipment (IF IT WAS NOT REPLACED OR MOVED)
○ height of pole tag (IF THE POLE WAS NOT REPLACED)
• Do your best to keep the calibration points relatively spaced out
Once calibration is acceptable, transfer heights
• The "Apply Make Ready Moves" option will transfer heights according to Make Ready calls on
the pole, showing the height annotations where they should be
○ You can make a selection of markers to transfer to their original height or proposed
height (while keeping all others at their proposed height or original height)
○ (Select multiple markers by pressing "Ctrl" as you click markers)
If any attachments are misaligned with the height of their marker (where the attachment doesn't appear where it should be), move the marker where its attachment actually is
Now you can call new Make Ready to fix any new violations on this pole
Move on to the next pole or click "Exit View" once you are done performing calibration and necessary Make Ready calls
