3PA Workflow Features In Portals

Available 3PA Features will allow you to determine whether the job model you’re using will support external applicants to submit applications as opposed to Non-3PA workflows that limit creating jobs to internal companies only.

Applicants will be able to create applications from their Pole Overview page. Its primary purpose is to allow external applicants to create jobs.

This outlines the specific features that put control in your hands for how these external applicants can behave:

User Options

  • Control whether or not applicants can create application drafts prior to approval

  • Set submission window limits - window length and window limit are two aspects of this

    • length defines the amount of time an applicant has to submit poles

    • limit determines the maximum number of poles that can be applied for during that window length

  • Prevent applicants from submitting more applications if they've reached these submission window limits

  • These submission window limits can apply to all applicants with additional 'attacher settings' that allow you to set more specific limits for particular attachers

  • ‘Group’ applicant companies together with shared pole limits and apply the limits to this group as if they were a single company (i.e. this is applicable for large attachment companies that may be split into different regions)

Application Types

  • Specify if only the utility should be able to create this type of application

  • Specify which attachers are allowed to submit this type of application based on custom logic in the an 'allowed attachers filter'

  • Control an applicant’s permissions and access to the application for each of the application’s statuses

  • Display specific attachment types within the application for applicants (using custom logic) and set the maximum amount of poles they can apply for (this will go towards their submission window limits, detailed later)

  • Submission window limits (how far along they are in the time window and the number of poles) are tracked and can be updated and/or reset based on status changes

Display Options

  • Choose if you’d like to provide a reference layer of poles, primaries, and or secondaries for applicants to view as they select poles in an application
